Professor and head of Wesleyan University’s African dance program, Iddi Saaka, taught a one hour workshop at Shoreline Ballet on November 16, 2021. This class was the last of three he led as a recipient of a grant from the Guilford Performing Arts Festival. Participants in the class consisted of students from Guilford High School’s VIP Program which teaches vocational and community skills. Participants are Jake Guile, L, SLP Sarah Warchol, Julian Rich, Adi Yarlagadda, teacher Tara Beatty, Nnamdi Obuekwe, Gavin Toscano-Popick, physical therapist Lynne Martocci, and Eric Lowry.
